DHENKANAL: Tension ran high in Lochapalli under Sadar police limits after one Pramod Pradhan (50) of the village attacked his brother’s family over a land dispute on Saturday.While his sister-in-law Sabi died on the spot, his brother Anu Pradhan and their two children Sudur and Bidulata have been grievously injured.They have been admitted to the district headquarters hospital.Pramod was recently released from jail after serving a life sentence for murdering his elder brother Sambar over the same reason.Locals said even as the Sadar police were informed about the incident which occurred at 5 am, police reached the spot after four hours.Following the incident, Pramod rushed to the local court in Dhenkanal town where he was sighted with the blood stained weapon used in the crime by some people.He had reportedly come there to surrender.Smelling a rat, people informed the police who nabbed him from the court premises.During interrogation, he admitted to have committed the crime and said he took the step as his brother refused to give him his share in the family property.
