BANGALORE: A woman lost her gold bangles weighing 60 grams to two unidentified persons who allegedly told her that they would polish her gold articles for free. Shaahid, a resident of Journalists Colony second stage, is the victim. The incident occurred when she was alone at house on Saturday afternoon. Two unidentified persons approached and told her that they would polish her jewels for free. Believing them, Shaahid gave them her bangles. They asked her to bring the pressure cooker and acted like cleaning the bangles with a powder in it. Later, they told her take the cooker and boil the bangles in it before leaving the scene. Shaahid did as she was told but did not find the bangles in the cooker later. Realizing that she was cheated, she lodged a complaint with Kalasipalya police. The accused were speaking in Kannada and Hindi, she said.
