A 3-kilometre stretch in Madhya Pradesh’s Burhanpur has earned the nickname “Dancing Road” due to its large potholes, causing vehicles to shake and their occupants to sway as they pass through. Local resident Sandeep described the situation, saying that the road has become a ‘Dancing Road.’ One can see how vehicles bounce and sway in the potholes, he said.

The problem was reported to the district administration, after which the civic body started work on filing the potholes. Collector Bhavya Mittal stated that the Public Works Department (PWD) has been instructed to fill the potholes, and work has already begun. The issue is expected to be resolved soon, he said..

The road stretches from Shanwara Crossing to Lalbagh Railway Station and has been in such a condition for the last five months. Residents from the area claimed that frequent accidents have taken place on the road due to the potholes. Data from the district hospital also showed that over 20 people had been injured in the past month due to accidents.
