The UPMSP Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (also known as Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh) will announce the UP Board result 2018 on the official website upmspresults.up.nic.in and upresults.nic.in tomorrow (April 29, 2018), at 12:30 PM.

New Delhi: The UPMSP Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (also known as Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh) will announce the UP Board result 2018 on the official website upmspresults.up.nic.in and upresults.nic.in tomorrow (April 29, 2018), at 12:30 PM. With the UP Board Class 10 Result 2018 and UP Board Class 12 Result 2018 all set to be declared on April 29, students from the UP Board are swamped in anxiety.

In the mean time, learn a fact or two about the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) before facing the UP Board Class 10 result 2018 and UP Board Class 12 result 2018. Here are seven facts/statistics about the UP Board that one needs to know:

1. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) or the Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh is the biggest board in India in terms of strength, with around 66 lakh students appearing for the examination. For Class 10 examination a total of 36,55,691 students have registered and 29,81,327 have registered for that of Class 12 examination.

2. This is the first time that the UP Board will declare the UP Board result 2018 in the month of April as opposed to May every year.

3. As reported by the Deputy Chief Minister, Dinesh Sharma, more than 11 lakh students have skipped this year's UP Board examinations, out of which 75% are from neighbouring countries like Bangladesh and Nepal. This implies that all of these students have failed in the pre-board examination.

4. The Uttar Pradesh Board had employed the highest number of Special Task force and other security agencies for the smooth conduct of examinations. Last year, in 2017, many incidents of fraud during exams were reported.

5. To improve transparency in the grading system assigned by the UP Board, for the first time in its history, answers written by toppers will be uploaded online for other students' reference.

6. The pass percentage for UP Board Class 10 was 81.18% and 82.62% for that of UP Board Class 12 in 2017. This year, the students have the option to tally their answer sheets for a better score, post the announcement of UP Board result 2018.

7. The UP Board has plans to make Aadhar card mandatory for Class 9 and Class 11 students, those who are eligible for taking the Board exams in 2019. This is being introduced to prevent foul practises during the Board examinations. The students have to submit a copy of their Aadhar cards as a proof of identity, while filling up the examination forms.​
