New Delhi: After months of staying in a house full of strangers, television actress Shweta Tiwari won the reality show Bigg Boss.
Shweta is the first female contestant to win the title.
She beat WWE champion the great Khali, bollywood actor Ashmit Patel and actress Dolly Bindra.
Season four of Bigg Boss saw incessant verbal abuses hurled over trivial matters, a sensation caused by the televised wedding of participant, actress Sara Khan with her beau Ali Merchant, and then the government hauling it up for "offending good taste".
Rendered teary-eyed as the result was announced, Shweta gave the onus of her win to her audience and her mother.
Looking stunning in a pink saree, Shweta - a favourite with the masses - thanked the voters and her former housemates in the season four of Bigg Boss.
The petite actress walked away with the winner's trophy and a cash prize of Rs 1 crore at a befitting, star-studded finale.
