TNSTC told to pay subsistence to driver

CHENNAI: The general manager of the Villupuram division of the TN State Transport Corporation has been directed by the HC to pay subsistence allowance to its driver for the suspension period.Advocate RY George Williams said, V Subramanian was suspended by an order dated February 5. He filed a writ petition challenging the suspension. Petitioner was dismissed from service after filing the plea. The judge disposed of the plea and directed the GM to pay  subsistence allowance to the driver from the date of suspension to dismissal, within four weeks.
