Three kids drown in lake

ERODE: Three students drowned in a lake at Kannadipalayam village, near Mayilambadi, Bhavani taluk, on Sunday evening.Sources said that Gokulakrishnan (9) and Vinodh (6) son of a construction worker and Mohan (5) son of Sadasivam, a tractor driver, went to the lake to pick fruit from a tree on the bank.Some fruit fell into the water and they stepped into the lake to collect them. They drowned when they entered a deep spot in the lake. The Bavani police registered a case.
