The art of social networking

BANGALORE: PIX hosted a panel discussion with eminent entrepreneurs and social media specialists to exchange their views on social networking in India and organised a special screening of the Oscar-winning film — The Social Network with distinguished industry experts like Sunder Aaron, business head, PIX  and Gaurav Mishra, director of Digital and Social Media of MSL Group on June 21. The screening was organised to mark the Super PIX of the month and enlighten the students of Christ College towards the mounting opportunities in social media. Sunder Aaron and Gaurav Mishra enriched the event highlighting the significance of social networking in running businesses and serving as a platform for many budding entrepreneurs and youngsters to setup their business and fulfil their dreams. The other well established entrepreneurs who were present at the event shared their valuable experience and insight on social media with the students. The event was a fun-filled discussion with complete participation from the students. The panelists were constantly kept on their toes with the various queries on social media by the students. The discussion ended with the screening of the movie.Speaking on the initiative, Sunder Aaron, business head, PIX said “Today, social media plays a vital role in every business. Our association with social media and entrepreneurs is a conscious effort to help students realise their passion and attain success.”The Social Network, a highly acclaimed film by the very talented director David Fincher, will be aired on PIX on June 25 at 9 pm.
