New Delhi: India and Pakistan are making contradictory claims over Indian soldiers crossing over the Line of Control (LoC) for relief work.
Indian Army says it has crossed the border to help Pakistani soldiers. However, the Pakistan Army denies it.
Pakistan Army on Thursday termed the reports as "baseless" and "untrue".
"There is no question of Indian Army crossing LoC to help rebuild bunkers," Pakistan defence spokesman Maj Gen Shaukat Sultan told reporters in Rawalpindi.
"All our bunkers are safe and built to withstand artillery shells," he added.
Pakistani soldiers requested Indian soldiers to cross the LoC near Amman Setu (Peace Bridge) to help reconstruct a bunker, Indian defence sources said on Thursday.
Indian soldiers crossed over, helped reconstruct the bunker and returned to their positions.
The Pakistani request came after forecast of heavy snowfall in the region, sources said.
They reportedly wanted to construct a shelter quickly.
Amman Setu connects Jammu and Kashmir to PoK and is used by Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus to cross the LoC.
Saturday's earthquake has damaged the bridge and the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road at several places.
