Jharkhand unit of the Shiv Sena says those against singing of Vande Mataram are 'traitors'.

Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand unit of Shiv Sena on Sunday said it would distribute over 10,000 copies of the Vande Mataram, among citizens of the Steel City on September 7, to mark the centenary of the National Song.

The party already initiated steps in this direction to ensure that every citizen of the Steel City must sing the National Song, written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, Sena Jharkhand unit vice-president Shashi Kumar Mishra said.

Appreciating the BJP-led Jharkhand government for making singing of the song mandatory in educational institutions, he said it should be implemented in all government organisations including district headquarter, police department, and cinema halls and non-governmental organisations.

On the ongoing controversy over making singing the song compulsary, he said irrespectvie of caste and creed; all Indians must sing the National Song.

Branding as 'traitors' those against singing the song, the Shiv Sena leader demanded action against them.

Shiv Sainiks have been directed to organise functions in every corner of the Steel City to ensure participation of citizens to sing Vande Mataram on September 7, he said.

A special function would be organised near the Tatanagar railway station in this regard, he added.
