Security tightened on New Years Eve in Vellore

VELLORE: On New Year’s eve, police will come down heavily on people driving under the influence of alcohol and two-wheeler riders with more than one pillion rider, Vellore SP Kayalvizhi said here today.She also added, security arrangements have been made on main roads, particularly roads around churches where devotees would attend midnight prayers.Action will also be taken on people who block vehicles to wish the drivers and those who involve in eve teasing.Kayalvizhi has also requested the public to bring to their notice people who cause nuisance as well as any untoward incidents in their area.
