Second SRC not applicable to Telangana, Says DS

HYDERABAD: APCC president D Srinivas has asserted that the second SRC would not be applicable to Telangana since the UPA government had made a statement in December 2009 only after thoroughly studying the issue. "How will the second SRC come into  picture even after Union home minister P Chidambaram had made a statement on Telangana issue?" he argued.Talking to newsmen, he termed Union minister D Purandeswari's remarks that the second SRC was the party's stand on smaller states,  as her personal views. In fact, the resolution to constitute the second SRC passed at the UP Congress committee meeting was not the stand of the Centre nor a policy decision, he said.
