The Joint Struggle Committee of Unions of the Telangana Officers, Employees, Teachers and Workers have demanded the state government to scrap the TNGO’s Housing Society and appoint a special officer to inquire into the housing scam.
The Telangana JSC led by chairman T Prabhakar, secretary general Erva Venkatesham, working president B Ram Shetty and others submitted a representation to chief secretary Minnie Mathew and urged her that as per the directions of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, the state government should scrap the TNGO’s Housing Society and appoint Kiranmayee as a special officer for conducting a detailed enquiry into housing scam.
The JSC asked the government to hand over the housing scam case to CBI, besides registering cases against the office-bearers of the TNGO’s Housing Society.
They said that the office-bearers of the housing society had resorted to large scale irregularities in the allotment of plots in 160 acres in Gopanapally in Rangareddy district. They threatened to launch an agitation from July 31.
