New Delhi: If things work out, actor Rajinikanth could soon be seen in ad campaigns, documentaries and short films to create awareness on malnutrition, along with actor Aamir Khan. Khan has already been signed up as the brand ambassador for the Women and Child Development (WCD) Ministry.
The media unit of the ministry on Wednesday held meetings to finalise the campaign strategy combining Rajinikanth and Khan. If it works out, then it will be after a long gap that Rajinikanth could be part of a government campaign after his association with the polio eradication campaign in the 1980s.
As part of the campaign, hoardings of the actors will be put up all over the country. The two stars will also travel across the nation to talk about their cause. WCD ministry said it is in touch with the actor. "It is true that the Ministry is trying to rope in Rajini sir as he is a phenomenon. We would be really happy if he agrees ...," said a ministry official.
