Light to moderate rains accompanied by thundershowers occurred at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh in the last 24 hours even as Banda district recorded the maximum temperature of 44.6 degrees Celsius.
According to MeT office, the chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms was Baheri and Naziabad 3 each, Deoria and Bansgaon 1 each.
Day temperatures fell markedly in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Faizabad and Lucknow divisions while appreciably in Allahabad, Bareilly, Moradabad and Meerut divisions, fell in Kanpur division and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state.
It was appreciably below normal in Gorakhpur and Faizabad divisions, below normal in Lucknow division, appreciably above normal in Agra division, above normal in Allahabad and Moradabad divisions and was normal in the remaining divisions of the state.
