Possessive Rineesh doubted his wife

KOCHI: Rineesh killed Srilatha over doubts that she had affairs with other men. Her relatives told the police that Rineesh had come to her house lately, after he left her a month ago following a quarrel.Last month, he beat her up brutally in front of their child. “He carried a knife during the last few days. He even showed it to the child twice. On Thursday, he asked her to accompany him to a relative’s house and for shopping. On the way, he slit her throat,” the police said.Srilatha was a makeup woman for support artistes in movies and had many friends in the cinema field. Rineesh, who never liked her doing the job, often asked her to quit. “Rineesh loved her deeply. He was so possessive that he didn’t like anyone talking to her. The two quarrelled regularly, and Rineesh attacked her for no reason whenever he was drunk,” the police said.
