New Delhi: The five-member Pakistani Joint Investigation Team (JIT) set up to probe the Pathankot air base terror attacks will arrive in New Delhi through a special flight on Sunday.

Sources said the team will visit the NIA headquarters in New Delhi on Monday where they will hold talks on the evidence collected and the progress of the investigation in the terror attack.

On Tuesday, the JIT will visit Pathankot but the officials will be given limited access to the airbase. The JIT will be allowed to question witnesses except security personnel.

The JIT will also be allowed to visit the point of breach in the border where the infiltration took place.

They will return to Delhi on Wednesday where they will continue discussions with the NIA on the progress of the probe.

India has blamed Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar for the attack and shared leads with Islamabad.

Based on the information, Islamabad had formed a JIT comprising officials from intelligence agencies as well as police to probe the attack.

This will be the first time that India has opened doors to Pakistani intelligence and police officials to investigate a terror attack.
