Muzaffarnagar: In yet another possible honour killing case, it is being reported that the police in Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh have found a badly mutilated body of a man in the jungle.
The body has been identified as that of a boy named Ajit, a college student who reportedly eloped with his classmate Anshu against the wishes of both families.
According to reports, the girl's parents tricked her into returning home promising to give their approval. The couple went missing on April 29.
The boy's family alleges the girl's parents killed their son. They also allege Anshu has also been killed. Police are combing the same jungle looking for Anshu's body.
They have also arrested the girl's father and brother.
Killed for honour
Meanwhile, Anshu's brother confessed to killing Ajit. He said that he killed Ajit to protect his family's honour because the boy and girl belonged to different communities which were not acceptable to the family.
