BHUBANESWAR: Scarcity of flattened rice in the market has forced the State Government to import 3,000 quintals of it from neighbouring Chhattisgarh for distribution among the flood-affected people. The dry food packets air-dropped for the people of marooned villages contains flattened rice, biscuits, candle, matchbox and halazone tablets, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradipta Mohapatra informed. To a question at the media briefing here, the SRC said there was no shortage of flattened rice for relief.
