No eviction, only construction

CHENNAI: C Anil Kumar is carrying out only construction activities and not indulging in any eviction on his premises on Professor Subramaniyan Street in Kilpauk, his advocate N Doraikannan clarified on Tuesday.Reacting to a news item published in Express on June 13 under the caption ‘Bid to evict family, Kilpauk area tense’, Doraikannan said his client was carrying out only construction activities as per the orders dated May 19 last of the Madras HC in a writ petition. The writ petiton prayed for a direction to the police to provide police protection to the petitioner to complete the construction work in his property, which was purchased through public auction the Park Town Benefit Fund Limited.
