After struggling to sit in her exquisite Schiaparelli haute couture gown at the Golden Globes Awards 2024 last week, Dua Lipa made a statement in a luscious red textured gown at the 29th annual Critics Choice Awards on January 14, 2024 in Santa Monica, California and was streamed on Lionsgate Play in India.
Dressed in custom Prada, the Houdini singer looked ravishing in red from head to toe. Dua Lipa’s straight long red hair styled in a half-ponytail beautifully blended with the mermaid-style gown enhanced with tone-on-tone surface texturing. The subtle multiple ruffles placed all over the gown added depth to the strapless statement piece.
The deep red colour adds drama to Dua’s body-hugging gown and celebrates her gorgeous frame with elan. The 29th annual Critics Choice Awards also marks Dua Lipa’s debut at the film and television awards ceremony. Styled by Lorenzo Posocco, Dua added statement jewellery pieces from Tiffany & Co.
Dua’s style quotient has always been an extension of her personality and this gown celebrated just that. While the jewel tone highlighted her impeccable style, the surface texturing added drama to this mermaid queen’s overall red carpet appearance. Dua seemed to have a lot of fun on the red carpet as she posed for the shutterbugs and flaunted her million-dollar smile.
The singing sensation, who also played the mermaid Barbie in the blockbuster movie Barbie, matched with her co-star Margot Robbie who also wore a red gown to the awards ceremony.
