Nirmala Sadan special Olympics champions

KOCHI: Nirmala Sadan Special School, Muvattapuzha, emerged winners in the Ernakulam District  Special Olympics meet held here on January 6 and 7 at the Maharajas College Stadium. Deputy Mayor Bhadra B delivered the valedictory address.The two-day meet held for the mentally challenged students across the district was meant to give them a chance to develop their physical as well as mental abilities. “Throughout the years we have noticed that such games increase the talents of these students as it give them a chance to discover their skills,” said J Oommen, chairman of Special Olympics Kerala.At least 1,200 students participated in the event.
