Mumbai University Results 2017: New Deadline August 5, MU Fails to Declare Results on July 31
The issues that still mar the Mumbai University Results 2017 is that according to teachers there are a lot of papers missing and there’s even a bigger fiasco of same answer booklets being assigned to two seats.

The Mumbai University Results 2017 didn’t see dawn on Monday i.e. July 31st 2017 as was committed by Education Minister Vinod Tawde.

Governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao has now declared August 5th 2017 as the new deadline for Mumbai University 2017 Results. The official website of Mumbai University mu.ac.in on Monday was running at a tortoise’s speed.

15 Results including results for B.Sc fifth and sixth semester were declared on Monday night. However, there’s a whopping 2.9 Lakh answer sheets still waiting for assessment along with around 1 Lakh that need to be moderated on various grounds. Not even a single result was given from Law department.

Satirical videos by students, protests by teachers and students, political leaders meeting the Governor, all went down the drain when MU failed to declare results even on July 31 which was the deadline issued by the Governor and Education Minister - Vinod Tawde.

The issues that still mar the Mumbai University Results 2017 is that according to teachers there are a lot of papers missing and there’s even a bigger fiasco of same answer booklets being assigned to two seats. Although MU is trying to resolve this, however the chances of doing such corrections are bleak.

In MU’s 100 year history this incident is one of a kind. The results have now been delayed by over 2 months. Despite giving 4 extra non-instructional days to students and teachers so that the deadline of July 31st 2017 could be met, until now, nothing has come.

Both the houses considering the present situation of chaos and absolute mismanagement at Mumbai University Results 2017 due to the new system of online assessment are asking for the removal of Mumbai University VC - Sanjay Deshmukh.

In an instance, Aditya Thackeray, son of Shiv Sena Chief, Udhav Singh Thackeray met with the Governor recently and discussed with him the inability of the VC, Sanjay Deshmukh and Education Minister, Vinod Tawde to understand and know the needs of the students and the utter disappointment they’ve caused to the students. He also questioned the quality of assessment and evaluation when all this is being done in a hurried manner.

Owing to all this pressure, the Maharashtra government on Friday ordered an inquiry to probe into the role of VC, Sanjay Deshmukh in implementing the new online system of assessment, the manner in which it was done and also how the tenders for the selection of the agency were floated.

The current situation is that 70% of Assessment papers from Commerce are pending, 10% from Law and 20% is pending with Management and other streams.
