Mumbai Traffic Hit as Maratha Quota Supporters Protest, Manoj Jarange Heads for City | Top Points

Thousands of supporters of Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange on Friday gathered in parts of Mumbai to hold a massive protest to demand reservation in government jobs and education for the Maratha community on the occasion of India’s 75th Republic Day.

Addressing the agitators at Shivaji Chowk in the Vashi area of neighbouring Navi Mumbai, Maratha quota leader Jarange said that they won’t abandon the protest midway till their demands are accepted.

Jarange said that they demand that the family members should also get the benefits and 57 lakh records have been found. 37 lakh people have been distributed certificates.

On the other hand, Maharashtra minister Deepak Kesarkar said the activist’s demands have been accepted. Earlier, Jarange held a meeting with a government delegation.
