Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) MLA Nirbhay Sahabadi on Friday said he and three of his party MLAs had met BJP president Amit Shah and expressed their willingness to join BJP while three more party MLAs will follow suit.

"Samresh Singh, Chandrika Mahata and Jaiprakash Bhokta, besides myself, met the BJP president on Wednesday in Delhi and expressed our desire to join the BJP," Sahabadi told reporters in Ranchi. "Three more JVM MLAs are also interested to join the BJP and their names will be announced on Monday by Samresh Singh," he claimed, adding they all have faith and confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

To a query, he alleged that JVM president Babulal Marandi was not taking everyone into confidence in decision making. Reacting to Sahabadi's allegations against Marandi, JVM spokesman Saroj Kumar said, "They could have said it before leaving the party. Now their views have become irrelevant and meaningless."

The JVM had contested the 2009 Assembly polls in alliance with the Congress and had won 11 seats. JD(U) spokesman Pramod Mishra joined BJP before the Lok Sabha elections while AJSU party vice-president Praveen Prabhakar and former Congress MLA Radhakrishna Kishore went to the BJP-fold a few days ago.

The BJP won 12 of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand, an apparent attraction for politicians to join the party ahead of the Assembly elections to be held this year.
