BANGALORE:  Confident that the recently tabled Companies Bill 2011 will be passed by the Parliament at least by the budget session, Union Minister of Corporate Affairs M Veerappa Moily said that the new bill proposed by his ministry has consolidated 25 new amendments and will address key issues plaguing the corporate sector.Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the construction of the new office of the Bangalore Chapter of  the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) on Saturday, he said that the new bill has provisions that protect transparency and the interests of investors.He also said, “My ministry will come up with a road map and plan for the future of investment in the country.”Expressing his support to the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, he  said that the role of a Company Secretary is ‘all pervasive’. He also said that his ministry is prepared to help in resource training as well.He also urged the institute to upgrade its standards by providing a suitable study environment to its students.In the next five to ten years, Moily hoped they would get close to10o Limited Liability Partnerships(LLP)registrations from ICSI alone.
