WARANGAL: In an incident of police brutality, two minors were chained and confined illegally in the Hanamkonda police station for two days. The duo were picked up by the police while moving suspiciously in an apartment two days back.Though the minors are supposed to be sent to a juvenile home, the police confined them in the police station without giving them proper food.Sources said the duo, a 17-year-old boy from Vijayawada and another 16-year-old from Nizamabad, were found loitering near an apartment in Hanamkonda two days ago. Suspecting them to be thieves, locals alerted the police who picked them up and brought them to the police station.They were handcuffed and their legs tied with iron chains. Sources said, the boys were not givem food and water. It was only when the issue came to the media, senior police officials swung into action.
