Lokayukta summons: Katta gets HC breather

Lokayukta summons: Katta gets HC breather
BANGALORE: The High Court on Friday directed the Special Lokayukta Court to consider the petition for exemption of MLA Katta Subra..

BANGALORE: The High Court on Friday directed the Special Lokayukta Court to consider the petition for exemption of MLA Katta Subramanya Naidu in connection with Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) land scam.
The court also ordered that an objection be filed on July 28 on his petition to quash the summons of the lower court. Naidu, who is on a trip to Cambodia, was supposed to appear before the Special Lokayukta court on July 19.

An advocate filed an application in the Lokayukta court under Criminal Penal Code 205 that he would be unable to attend hearing on that very date.

Hearing the application, the single bench directed the special court to quash the summons.
