A woman village official and a reader posted in Barwani district were caught red-handed by Lokayukta sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 from a villager.
Acting on a tip-off, the Lokayukta sleuths caught the woman official identified as Anita Jadhav and the reader Kishanlal accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from Dinesh Badole for tranferring land lease papers in his name after the death of his father.
A case has been registered against the duo under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
