KANNUR: A Muslim League activist was stabbed to death by an unidentified group of people at Kannapuram here on Monday evening, even as tension remained high in the Taliparamba region following clashes between Muslim League and CPM workers.League activist Shukoor, 20, of Ariyil in Pattuvam, was coming out of a house at Kannapuram along with four others when he was stabbed by a group of people who followed them.Another Muslim League worker sustained serious stab injuries in the attack.The stabbing incident was said to be a sequel to the clashes that took place at Pattuvam and the attack on CPM leaders. The Police deployment has been strengthened and senior police officials are camping in the area to prevent any untoward incident.
