HYDERABAD: Former minister and legislator Komatireddy Venkata Reddy ended his indefinite hunger strike at the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences on Wednesday.The former minister who began his hunger strike at Nalgonda on November 1 was shifted to the NIMS by police after his health deteriorated. Venkata Reddy called off his stir after the Congress MPs prevailed on him to withdraw his fast and work hand in hand for achieving a separate Telangana.
Chandramma, mother of Yadireddy, who committed suicide at Delhi, offered him lemon juice to make him call off his hunger strike. Telangana Congress MPs K Keshava Rao and Gutta Sukhender Reddy were among those present at the time when he called off his fast.
