Jupalli to hold luncheon with MPs

HYDERABAD: Endowments minister Jupalli Krishna Rao plans to discuss his padayatra in Mahaboobnagar district with MPs from the region at his residence here on Monday.Rao, who had a running feud with information minister DK Aruna, deferred his tour on May 23 at the instance of the PCC with Aruna threatening to disrupt his yatra if it entered her Gadwal constituency.After postponing it, Krishna Rao had, two days ago, met chief minster N Kiran Kumar Reddy and explained to him that he was undertaking the padayatra in support of the Telangana cause and that he was not trying to use his yatra to establish his domination over the district.As he is set to resume his yatra on June 1, Rao decided to drum up support for his yatra from the MPs and invited them to dinner on Monday.Meanwhile, Aruna has said that she will have no objection to Jupalli Krishna Rao’s yatra if he discusses it with her and other Congress leaders of the district.Her grouse against the endowments minister is that Rao had not consulted her before undertaking the yatra and that if it enters her Gadwal constituency, it may put her in an awkward situation.
