Is 'Thaandavam' not an original story?

An assistant director has lodged a complaint with the Directors Association, alleging that he was the original owner of the story of 'Thaandavam'.

According to Ponnuswamy, a former associate of Radhamohan, he had narrated a script to the movie's producer in 2011.

"Though the producers initially promised to make the script as a film, they later dropped the idea. However, the same script is being made into Thaandavam now," Ponnuswamy alleged.

However, those behind 'Thaandavam' have denied the charge, saying that the film's script is totally different from the one narrated by Ponnuswamy.

Directed by Vijay with Vikram in the lead, 'Thaandavam' is slated to hit the screens on September 28.
