HYDERABAD: Irrigation department officials told chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday that they had followed directions of state-level committee for Integrated Water Planning and Management when they impounded flood waters at Sriram Sagar Project in Nizamabad district.The chief minister had sought explanation from Irrigation Department after minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah lodged protest on Sunday that Godavari water had gone waste.
