KOCHI: In a bid to establish its presence in the Middle East, the Kozhikode-based Indian Institute of Management (IIMK) will sign an MoU on collaborative education and exchange programmes with the Abu Dhabi University (ADU), on Monday. IIMK has plans to accelerate its international activities through establishing tie-ups with institutions in different parts of the world. The MOU envisages areas of collaboration in student and faculty exchange programmes. The institutions will also explore opportunities in Dual degree programme, Research Conference and Doctoral Student Colloquium. The MOU allows both IIMK and ADU to explore the possibility of launching an executive MBA programme in Abu Dhabi, specifically targeted at the immigrants from South Asia in Abu Dhabi. The MOU is expected to give opportunities to students of the Post Graduate Programme at IIMK to undergo internships at leading organisations in the UAE. The MOU will be signed by Professor Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode and Professor Terrence Motiuk, Vice Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University. Professor Nandakumar M K, chairman, International Exchange at IIM Kozhikode, Professor Jacob Chacko, dean, College of Business, ADU and Jame E Mackin, provost, ADU will be present.
