He's primarily spotted in Tamil films. However, after debuting in Tollywood through his film 'Oka Vichitram', actor Aadi Pinisetty will be seen again by the Telugu audience in his upcoming bilingual 'Gundello Godari'.
A film shot around the banks of the river Godavari, the Telugu-Tamil bilingual falls under the genre of adventure, according to the actor.
"This is an adventure-based film, which is unusual because not many people have touched this genre here. It is something common to Hollywood films," says Aadhi, who plays the role of a fisherman in the film.
"The film is based on the floods that took place in 1986 in the Godavari. I play the role of a fisherman. Lakshmi Manchu and Taapsee Pannu play my love interests in the film, and there's Sundeep Kishan as well in the film," he shares.
To get into the skin of the character, Aadi decided to reach the shooting spot in Rajahmundry around two weeks before the shooting began.
"The slang that is spoken in that area is very different. Plus, to act like a fisherman, I needed to interact with the fishermen from that area — I lived with them, learnt how to row the boat, use the fish net and everything else about them. So, even though two weeks were not entirely sufficient, it did help me a lot to play my character," recalls the actor, who was born in Rajahmundry, and was happy to visit his birth place. "It brought back a lot of fond memories," he smiles.
Also busy with his other film 'Kochadaiyaan', Aadi is very excited about both his films and quite happy with how things are going.
",'Gundello Godari' is a different film. 'Kochadaiyaan' is the first film in India with motion capture technology. Apart from that I am also getting offers from Bollywood, but nothing has been finalised yet. So, life's good," signs off Aadi.
'Gundello Godari', being produced by Lakshmi Manchu, will hit the screens next month.
