HYDERABAD: Bringing the effervescent joy of the humour and subtle satire that Pelham Grenvile Wodehouse is eternally remembered for, to the Telugu audience, Saradaga Kasepu is an adaptation based on the Mulliner series penned by the Englishman.Based on 10 of the best short stories from the series, Saradaga Kasepu follows a series of events whose bizarre and garrulous nature is inspired by Mulliner.Says G Krishna Mohan, the author, “I wanted to share the same experience that I feel while I read a Wodehouse book with my fellow Telugu readers who cannot follow the English version. That stood as my inspiration to come up with this book.”  Saradaga Kasepu is actually the third book in a series of Wodehouse adaptations authored by Krishna Mohan. The previous two books, Aapathabhandavudu and Uncle Dynamite were also adapted from the same character. However, they are not literal translations of the original script but are adapted versions which take into consideration the Indian elements, culture and values.Elaborating on his venture, Krishna Mohan says, “The plot observes a person’s relation with his fellow humans and the environment around him while also paying attention to the influence of his social stature over him.”  The book was launched on Saturday evening at the Ravindra Bharathi amidst many Wodehouse fans including writer, music director/film director and singer Vamsi, eminent Telugu author Ravulapalli Suneetha and B Eswara Reddy, manager of Visalaandhra publishing house.
