Hit-and-run case: Mumbai court to hear Salman's plea today

Mumbai: A Mumbai sessions court on Thursday will hear actor Salman Khan's plea for a fresh trial in the hit-and-run-case. The court will decide whether the trial should begin afresh and evidence produced earlier by the magistrate should be considered or not.

Salman had requested that the earlier evidence presented in the case should be disregarded.

One person was killed and four others were injured when the Land Cruiser, allegedly driven by Salman Khan, crushed a group of people sleeping on the pavement outside a bakery in suburban Bandra in the early hours on September 28, 2002.
