KOCHI: Moved by the ‘Express’ report on Ansina, 9, who lost her father and her right arm in a gory accident near Kanjiramattom on April 12, many wellwishers have come forward to provide financial aid for the child. The benefactors contacted Ansina’s family on Tuesday.“A woman contacted me from Thevara to say that she would like to contribute an amount towards Ansina’s healthcare. She has asked us to collect the money from her house whenever we are in need,” said Nazar T U, Ansina’s uncle who has been taking care of the family after the accident. He said the doctors are unsure of how long she will have to stay hospitalised. The promise of help comes as a great relief to the family, as Ansina’s mother Seleena is unemployed and her brother Askar is young as well. The other benefactors preferred to remain anonymous. On April 12, Ansina’s father Ansar, an autorickshaw driver, had died in a road mishap while buying supplies from a shop at Chalakkapara, near Kanjiramattom, when a private bus rammed into the shop.Ansina’s right hand had to be amputated in the accident.Seleena and Askar also suffered injuries.
