KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday held that the Travancore Devaswom Board and the Cochin Devaswom Board should manage the affairs including festivals in temples under their control. A Division Bench comprising Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan and Justice C T Ravikumar passed the order while considering a petition filed by devotees regarding the conduct of the 10-day festival at Pandavar Kavu, Kayamkulam.“When a temple is under the control of the Board, it is the Board which shall be in control of the festivals,” the court said.The Bench held that it is not for any particular faction, community, group or section of society to file petition in connection with the management of festivals in temples under the control of the Board. The court further observed that the TDB always stood as a mute spectator in disputes related to organising of festivals until directions from the court are issued on controversies related to it.
