According to Kate Moss, “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.”  She obviously hasn’t sampled the FroYo, or frozen yogurt, at Organika. Frozen yogurt, you say, thinking, “Meh, been there, tried that.” But the icy treats on offer at Jubilee Hill’s newest dessert destination are nothing like the bland frozen yogurts that you might have been unfortunate enough to try before. Organika’s FroYo is the ultimate compromise between being calorie conscious and giving in to temptation. According to Anusha Katta, who decided to open Organika with her cousin Abhishek Reddy Kankanala after getting bored of 9-to-5ing it in the IT industry, FroYo is one of the healthiest dessert options possible. “It’s got zero cholesterol, zero fat and zero sugar. The FroYo is basically made out of water, toned milk, yogurt, flavour and sugar substitute.” Rich, both in taste and texture, FroYo is delicious. Though it’s available in a variety of flavours, the classic chocolate and the Pecan Praline are must tries. At a mere 73 calories a serving, a generous one at that, the FroYo is the ultimate guilt-free yummy.FroYo isn’t all that Organika has on offer. Their FroYo Parfaits, a combination of fruits, muesli and FroYo in a flavour of your choice, are also extremely healthy, low-cal and yummy. Also on offer are Bubble teas, which are flavoured drinks served with tapioca pearls, and milkshakes. Looking for something more solid? Then try their grilled sandwiches or chocolate brownies. Though they haven’t yet got too wide a variety in sandwiches, the selections on offer are always exceptionally prepared.It’s just been about three weeks since Organika opened its doors to the public and they’ve already got a whole lot of repeat business. “We’ve had this one customer who has come in for dessert 20 days in the past 23 days,” says Abhishek. “It’s not just repeat customer from nearby locations,” adds Anusha, “There are a lot of people who’ve been coming from Gachibowli and Secunderabad.” It’s not that surprising really. What wouldn’t one do for a dessert that is truly guilt-free?
