KOCHI: The government will intensify the security at Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Devaswom Minister V S Sivakumar has said."The proceedings to protect the temple will be finalised after holding discussions with the devotees. Further proceedings regarding the inventory will depend upon the direction of the Supreme Court," he said. The minister was in Kochi to participate in the annual meeting of Kerala Motor Vehicles Department Gazetted Officers' Association.Yukti Vadi Sangham President's House AttackedMalappuram: Kerala Yukti Vadi Sangham state president U Kalanadhan's house was attacked in the wee hours of Sunday by a group of unidentified miscreants at Vallikkunnu here. Stones were pelted at the house and windowpanes were broken during the attack. An electric bike parked in front of the house was also destroyed by the miscreants. The police have registered a case and started an investigation into the incident.Kalanadhan said the attack was by communal forces. "I assume that the attack was done by communal forces against my comments in a television channel discussion regarding the treasure unearthed at Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram," he said.
