HYDERABAD: A day after mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy urged the court to transfer his bail petition to the second additional special court, suspended IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, who was arrested in the illegal mining case, also filed a similar memo seeking transfer of her bail petition to the second additional special court.Janardhan Reddy’s petition was opposed by the CBI and the after hearing both sides, the principal special court posted the orders for Saturday.Janardhan Reddy’s counsel said the predecessor had already heard the bail plea in part. The counsel said that senior Supreme Court advocate Ram Jethmalani had argued the bail plea before the special court for CBI cases judge B Nagamaruthi Sarma on April 13.Nagamaruthi Sarma has been posted as the second additional special judge after the new CBI courts started functioning.“It is necessary that the remaining part of hearing be transferred to the same judge since he was available,’’ the defence counsel said. The counsel pointed that it would be difficult to argue afresh since bringing Ram Jethmalani again would be a tough task. The principal special judge A Pullaiah reserved orders on the matter for Saturday.Meanwhile, Srilakshmi also filed a similar memo on the same grounds and hearing as posted for Saturday.
