HYDERABAD: A son was killed by his father whom he drove out of the house for harassing his mother in the wee hours of Monday.The father smashed his son's head with a boulder while he was asleep, the Malkajgiri police said. The deceased was identified as Syed Mahmood (27) who was a mechanic and belonged to Shafi Nagar in Moulali.Mahmood drove his father, Khasim, out of the house after he saw him beating up his mother, Sakeena Bi. The police said that Khasim held a knife and scared Sakina which angered Mahmood.“After his father left, Mahmood slept outside the house. Khasim reached home around 12.30 a.m and spotted his son asleep outside the house, picked up a boulder and smashed his head. He later fled,'' Malkajgiri police inspector B Ramesh said. Khasim later threw the boulder in a nearby tank. Mahmood died on the way to hospital However, the accused alleged his son harassed him for money and beat him up.A case has been registered under Section 302 (murder) and the police are investigating it.
