Expel BSY to save BJP in Karnataka: Shivappa
BSYs remarks on Eshwarappa were intolerable..

MYSORE: Former BJP state president B B Shivappa urged the party high command to expel former CM B S Yeddyurappa, accusing him of causing setbacks to the party by issuing embarrassing statements in public.Shivappa said that it is the right time to expel Yeddyurappa as he is facing huge corruption charges and his expulsion will stem further damage to the party. “The behaviour of Yeddyurappa, who is pushing Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda to the brink by blackmailing him, is not appropriate. I don’t know why the high command is maintaining silence and not taking any action against him. The high command should expel him to save the party in Karnataka,” he urged. On the sidelines of the party workers’ meeting held here on Sunday, Shivappa, who is also president of the Karnataka BJP Hiriyara Vedike, said that Yeddyurappa’s behaviour is intolerable. He alleged that Yeddyurappa’s remarks against BJP state president K S Eshwarappa in public created an embarrassing situation for the party. Yeddyurappa’s stand has changed after he came to power and this is the reason for the injustice done to many sincere workers, he added. When questioned about rumours of Yeddyurappa launching a new party, he said that he would not succeed, and it is best that he continues in the BJP. “Many leaders like former chief ministers Devraj Urs, Kengal Hanumanthaiah witnessed failure after launching a new party,” Shivappa said. Former MLA and honorary president of Karnataka BJP Hiriyara Vedike Rambhat also demanded action against Yeddyurappa.
