Embassy car blast: MHA holds review meeting
Sources say the Home Ministry is expecting a detailed report from the Delhi Police on its preliminary investigation.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs held a review meeting on Tuesday following Monday's blast in an Isreali embassy car, that left four people injured. Home Minister P Chidambaram held a review meeting with Home Secretary RK Singh, Special Secretary Internal Security Ajay Chadha, National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon, Intelligence Bureau chief N Sandhu and other senior MHA officials.

NIA Director SC Sinha was at Tughlaq road police station to examine the Innova in which the blast took place.

Sources say the Home Ministry is expecting a detailed report from the Delhi Police on its preliminary investigations by Tuesday evening.

An explosion in an Israeli embassy car in the heart of New Delhi left a diplomat's wife, Tal Yehoshua, and three others injured on Monday. While the diplomat's wife was taken into surgery with shrapnel injuries to her spine, the other three suffered superficial injuries.

Yehoshua's operation was successful and she was recuperating in the ICU. Her condition was stable.

The driver of the Innova was also out of danger and will be discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.
