BANGALORE:  After being defiant and putting up a show of strength, outgoing Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Monday  turned philosophical, stating that he was not attracted to power. “Nobody is permanent and so is power. What we do while in power is what matters. After resigning on Sunday, I am not using the official car, but a private one,” he added.Yeddyurappa heaped praise on BJP national leaders, while declaring that he would continue to build the party in the future.Speaking to reporters after after holding a series of meetings with his supporters ahead of the crucial legislature party meeting to be held on August 3, the CM praised former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, former deputy PM L K Advani and BJP national president Nitin Gadkari. “Advani and Vajpayee are my guiding lights. They guided me throughout my political career. I thank them for this,” he said.He also did not forget to remeber the support extended to him by Gadkari. “Gadkari is a rare patriot. The party is expanding under his leadership,” he added.While listing out his achievements in the last 38 months, Yeddyurappa expressed satisfaction over his stint as CM. He also hoped that his successor would continue his good work for the development of the state.
