BHUBANESWAR: In its bid to promote budding entrepreneurs with innovative ideas, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Bhubaneswar on Wednesday announced the launch of TiEQuest 2011, a competition on business plans. The winners of the competition would not only be awarded with cash prizes but also be facilitated with links to Angel funding and Venture Capitalist sources. The competition, which is being organised for the first time in the State, is open to all, including students from technical or other streams, provided they have genuine, unique and workable business plans. There would be winners from the general category and a special student category. The awards for leading proposals would be between Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh. In addition, the winners would be extended with guidance and support system like project advisory services, legal services and market intelligence. The notable projects would also be assisted through linkages with venture Capital sources, TiE Chapter president JB Pany told mediapersons here on Wednesday. The competition would proceed through phases with submission of plans on the format hosted on the TiE website by October-end. A mentoring workshop would be held for the contestants.
