MYSORE: Hinting that discontent was simmering in the ranks of the Opposition parties - Congress and JD(S) - Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs S Suresh Kumar said that legislators from the two parties are unhappy over dislodging the BJP-led state government.
"Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has delivered good governance on all fronts over the last two years, which has put the state on the road to development," he addressed the press here Monday.He clarified that the CM, in his call to legislators from other parties, did not sound a clarion call to 'Operation lotus', the BJP's covert operation to bolster its strength in the Assembly, while refusing to divulge details about such persons.

The minister asserted that the innumerable obstacles posed by the Congress and JD(S) to the state government ever since it assumed office, which, he averred, have been weathered successfully. "We are committed to stable governance."

Defending Assembly Speaker Bopaiah's act of disqualifying the rebel MLAs, he said that "the BJP accepts the Supreme Court's verdict with due respect", while pointing out the five judges of the Karnataka High Court had upheld the Speaker's

action.
