BANGALORE: European Business and Technology Centre (EBTC) in association with Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce has organised a conference on “Environment business and reserach delegation to Bangalore.” The coneference began on Monday, Nov 14 and will continue till Nov 18 at the Taj West End. The purpose of the conference is to understand the Indian market scenario and explore business and research opportunities. The main objective is to encourage Eurpean Union-India collaborations in the field of environment and energy. Speaking to reporters, Poul V Jensen, director, EBTC said that in India environment issues have to be tackled and technological advancement is need of the hour. Monish Verma, Environment sector specialist, EBTC said that water has been an issue in India. Waste water is not cleaned and eventually it will be released into rivers. India has to upgrade technologies, he opined.
